Cystic Fibrosis Nurse SpecialistThe closing date is 17 February 2026
The CF Specialist Nurse will work with the Cystic Fibrosis team and all other key health professionals involved in the care of children and young people with Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
Main duties of the job- Working closely with the Cystic Fibrosis nursing team, the post holder will assist in the implementation of specialist nursing skills, knowledge and expertise in the care and management of children and adolescents with Cystic Fibrosis.
- The post holder will be required to;
- Support the senior CF nurse specialists in initiating care programmes, developing services and using effective approaches to meet the needs of this group of patients and families.
- Work in a variety of settings within the community. Establishing links across the primary/secondary/tertiary care interface will be an important part of the role.
- Support children and young people with CF and their families in hospital within wards, ED and outpatient settings and in educational setting.
- The post holder will participate in audit and research within the CF nursing team.

Parkview Clinic is a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Mental Health (CAMHS) facility in Moseley, for young people aged 11-18 years who require admission due to significant psychiatric difficulties.

Person Specification Qualifications- NMC registration
- RN Child
- Current driving license and use of a car
- End Teaching qualification or equivalent
- Experience of working within a Multi disciplinary team
- Excellent understanding of all aspects of child protection
- Ability to assess and triage patient queries and act appropriately within the knowledge base.
- Experience of working with children with Cystic Fibrosis
- Experience of working in the community
- Experience of teaching & supervising other staff
