Key Responsibilities

The Role

As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be at the heart of our operation. You'll speak to customers, manage bookings, and help ensure deliveries run smoothly from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for someone at entry level who wants to develop communication, sales, and logistics experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Taking customer bookings over the phone and entering details into our systems
  • Speaking with customers to agree pricing and delivery options
  • Supporting the sales team by booking appointments with potential new customers
  • Working closely with Customer Services and Sales to meet performance targets
  • Promoting Speedy Freight's services to new and existing customers
  • Managing multiple tasks in a busy, deadline driven environment
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues
  • Being flexible to support the on call rota when required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What We're Looking For

  • Confident and friendly telephone manner
  • Good written and spoken English and basic maths skills (GCSE level)
  • Comfortable using IT systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Organised, reliable, and able to multitask
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • A positive attitude with a strong focus on customer service

Experience

Previous customer service or phone based experience is helpful but not essential - full training will be provided. If you enjoy speaking to people and working in a fast moving environment, we'd love to hear from you.
