Custom Consulting Lead

In this role, you will lead and orchestrate customer value through complex deal making, address our customers' major business challenges, and accelerate your career growth by leveraging cutting-edge solutions to drive our most transformational projects. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with local leaders and their sales teams, establishing strong partnerships, and driving a consistent Cross-CSA approach aligned with company strategy, applying a regional approach to meet customer needs. Engage strongly with stakeholders in SPT and Area MCAPSSales teams.
- Bringing impactful technology and industry insights into customer engagements, closing deals, and coaching others internally on how to do this. Use deep sales & delivery experience to drive a consultative sale and build trust with C-level executives.
- Influencing Microsoft's strategic direction across various markets. Leading virtual cross-organizational teams on strategic projects and high-impact solution sales deployments that enable digital transformation and deliver business value. Leverage CSA assets and consulting IP (functions and industry) to deliver customer transformation.
- Participating actively in sales planning, orchestration, and deal closure using Microsoft's sales methodology. Shaping and selling custom consulting solutions with technical acumen that maximize Microsoft investments.
- Providing deal coaching and shaping by encouraging cross-area learning and insights within the solution area, benefiting our customers and wider Microsoft teams. Collaborate seamlessly with the wider account team, strengthening relationships across Microsoft to drive consumption; prioritize AI integration in all initiatives.
- Continuously building sales expertise, learning, and evolving knowledge of Transformative solutions to support customers and the wider Microsoft team, investing in personal development.
- Strong experience in solution-based selling across one or more of the CSAs. Effectively position cross-CSA offerings and align customer needs with our portfolio.
- Experience selling into commercial or public sector accounts, understanding industry trends and challenges. Ability to tailor solutions to industry-specific needs and contribute to account planning.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, confidently navigating C-level relationships, driving executive meetings, and articulating the value proposition of solutions.
- Exposure to consulting or solution architecture practices, collaborating effectively with technical and consulting teams to develop and propose solutions.
- Experience managing the sales cycle for digital transformation initiatives, driving value conversations, and positioning solutions aligned with transformation goals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), or a related field with proven industry sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g., Finance, Local Government), or a Master's Degree in Business, IT, or a related field with a strong background in technology sales within similar sectors.
- Substantial experience in consulting solution sales and delivery is highly desirable.
