Freelance Cloud Security Architect (Public Sector)

Location: Netherlands

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months initially (Full-time preferred, part-time possible)

Language: Dutch-speaking preferred

Project Context:

We are urgently seeking a freelance Cloud Security Architect to replace a key architect at a Dutch public sector client. The role involves securing cloud-native applications, integrating national identity systems, and ensuring observability and reliability across the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain secure cloud-based solutions (Java / Node.js stack)
• Implement IAM protocols (SAMLv2, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT)
• Integrate Dutch identity frameworks (DigiD, eHerkenning, eIDAS)
• Support and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure (Helm, Rancher, Docker)
• Define and monitor dashboards using Grafana and Prometheus
• Apply PKI standards for secure communication and digital signing
