Credit Control Administrator (12 month FTC)
Location: Watford (Hybrid Working - 2 Days in Office, 3 Days Remote)
Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Reporting To: Accounts Receivable Manager
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Control Administrator to join our Finance team based in Watford. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home three days per week and collaborating with colleagues in the office two days per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, reducing aged debt, resolving account queries, and supporting the wider finance function. Strong experience using NetSuite ERP is desirable not essential, alongside excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and collect outstanding customer debts.
- Contact customers via phone and email to secure timely payment of invoices.
- Maintain accurate customer account records within NetSuite.
- Monitor aged debt and take appropriate action to minimise overdue balances.
- Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and account queries.
- Produce aged debt reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Escalate problematic accounts where necessary.
- Support month-end processes and assist with finance reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all collections activity complies with internal policies and procedures.
- Support the wider Finance team with administrative duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Administration role.
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite ERP desirable
- Proven experience managing aged debt and debt collection processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- AAT qualification or studying towards a finance qualification.
- Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Knowledge of credit risk management and credit assessment processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile
