This is a highly visible role working closely with senior legal counsel across London and Dublin, offering broad exposure to governance, regulatory and board-level activity.

The Role

This position sits at the heart of the business, owning and delivering high-quality company secretarial and governance support across multiple entities. You will play a key role in ensuring robust corporate governance, regulatory compliance and effective board operations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading board and committee support, including agenda preparation, minute taking and stakeholder coordination
  • Maintaining statutory registers and ensuring all Companies House and regulatory filings are up to date
  • Supporting corporate governance frameworks and compliance processes across the business
  • Assisting with regulatory submissions and returns (including FCA/PRA/Lloyd's/CBI where applicable)
  • Managing legal and compliance records, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
  • Supporting legal documentation, transactional activity and departmental projects
  • Assisting with due diligence, KYC processes and auditor engagement
  • Monitoring and summarising legal and regulatory developments
The Candidate

You will be an experienced company secretarial professional with a strong grounding in insurance or financial services.

Key requirements:
  • 6-10 years' experience in a company secretarial or governance role (law firm, insurer or financial services environment)
  • Strong knowledge of corporate governance, regulatory frameworks and board processes
  • Experience engaging with UK and/or European regulators (e.g. Companies House, FCA, PRA, Lloyd's, CBI)
  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in minute taking and board material preparation
  • Highly organised, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proactive, professional and confident working with senior stakeholders

A CILEx qualification (or equivalent legal/paralegal training) is preferred.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing, collaborative Legal & Compliance team in a role offering broad exposure, autonomy and real impact across European operations.
