Join Our Catering Team - Cook Wanted in Belfast

MPA Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join a busy healthcare facility in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen where you will be preparing nutritious meals for patients, staff, and special functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals following standardised recipes
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are maintained
• Manage stock, inspect deliveries, and monitor food freshness
• Supervise catering staff in the absence of the Head Cook
• Keep accurate records including meal counts, food temps, and audits
• Control food waste and costs through effective kitchen practices
• Support new staff induction and contribute to training
• Help uphold nutritional standards for all meals served
• Report equipment faults and assist with food transport when required

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cook or Assistant Cook (public or private sector)
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Safety in Catering Certificate (or equivalent)
• Enhanced AccessNI
