An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Officer to join a busy Property Services team within a well-established London Local Authority based in Wembley. This is an ongoing temporary position offering hybrid working and an immediate start for the right candidate.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of property investment, repairs, servicing and compliance programmes, ensuring high-quality administrative and contract support across the Property Services function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing a comprehensive and efficient administrative service to support the Property Services Team.
- Maintaining accurate asset management data and records to support repairs, investment and cyclical maintenance programmes.
- Supporting customer and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure effective service delivery.
- Monitoring performance and expenditure and maintaining comprehensive records and documentation.
- Managing documentation and legal preparations required for tenancy and leasehold enforcement actions.
- Coordinating the full forced entry process for gas safety inspections and planned works in accordance with housing legislation.
- Liaising with residents, contractors and internal teams to ensure successful programme delivery.
- Preparing reports, performance information and correspondence as required.
Essential Requirements
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Knowledge of project administration.
- Understanding of landlord gas safety obligations and statutory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance.
- Understanding of landlord property access requirements and enforcement procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience within a customer service or administrative office environment.
- Experience monitoring performance and resolving service delivery issues.
- Strong experience using databases, Microsoft Office applications and spreadsheets.
- Experience preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Experience working collaboratively with contractors, residents, stakeholders and internal service teams.
- Ability to manage a varied workload independently and prioritise effectively.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess information and reach logical conclusions.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to think objectively, evaluate options and make practical recommendations.
