We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Insights Manager to help shape the future of the SuperValu brand through deep customer understanding, actionable insight and strategic thinking.

This role is responsible for turning customer, shopper, market and competitive intelligence into clear recommendations that drive growth, strengthen customer relevance and inform decision-making across the business.

The successful candidate will act as the voice of the customer within SuperValu, partnering closely with marketing, retail, trading, own brand, proposition, retailer and executive teams to ensure decisions are grounded in customer and shopper insight.

Key Responsibilities Customer & Shopper Insight

Lead the development of customer understanding for SuperValu.

Identify emerging customer needs, attitudes, behaviours and occasions that create opportunities for growth.

Build actionable mission frameworks.

Translate insight into clear business implications and recommendations.

Champion customer centric thinking throughout SuperValu teams.

Research Leadership

Design and manage qualitative and quantitative research programmes.

Commission and oversee research agencies to deliver high quality insight.

Ensure research outputs move beyond reporting and drive tangible business action.

Develop research plans that support strategic and commercial priorities.

Monitor market trends, category performance and competitive activity.

Analyse external data sources including Kantar, NielsenIQ, Bord Bia and industry reports.

Identify opportunities and threats impacting SuperValu's future growth.

Produce regular market updates for leadership teams.

Strategic Storytelling

Convert complex data into compelling stories that influence decision making.

Deliver insightful presentations to senior leaders and executive audiences.

Create board level summaries that focus on opportunities, risks and priorities.

Ensure insight is accessible, actionable and commercially relevant.

Stakeholder Management

Build strong relationships across Marketing, Retail, Trading, Own Brand, Loyalty and Digital teams.

Influence senior stakeholders through evidence based recommendations.

Facilitate workshops and collaborative problem solving sessions.

Act as a trusted strategic partner across the SuperValu business.

Skills & Experience

10+ years' experience in insights, consumer research, customer insight, strategy or a related field.

Strong quantitative and qualitative research experience.

Experience managing research agencies and external partners.

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.

Commercially minded with an ability to connect customer insight to business outcomes.
