Consultant Spinal Surgeon - Leicestershire & Northamptonshire

OneHealth is looking for a Consultant Spinal Surgeon to support and grow the One Health Group's Spinal Team.

Qualifications

• Currently in a substantive NHS post or a long term locum post (more than 12 months).
• If not in a current NHS post, previously a substantive NHS consultant for at least 3 years before leaving the NHS.
• On the GMC register with no hearings or restrictions.
• Relevant sub specialist qualifications (FRCS orth ).
• On the specialist register.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Experience using Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Professional outlook, empathetic telephone manner and adherence to patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assess and operate on NHS patients referred to OneHealth via the NHS e Referral System.
• Hold appointments across outreach clinic sites in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
• Perform operations within independent sector hospitals, requiring travel as needed.
• Subject to onboarding process and Clinical Governance approval, and obtain practicing privileges for each hospital where procedures are undertaken.
• Prepare for potential closure of the vacancy on receipt of a high number of candidate applications.
