Job Description

Consultant Spinal Surgeon - Leicestershire & Northamptonshire

OneHealth is looking for a Consultant Spinal Surgeon to support and grow the One Health Group's Spinal Team.

Qualifications

Currently in a substantive NHS post or a long term locum post (more than 12 months).
If not in a current NHS post, previously a substantive NHS consultant for at least 3 years before leaving the NHS.
On the GMC register with no hearings or restrictions.
Relevant sub specialist qualifications (FRCS orth ).
On the specialist register.
Strong written and verbal communication in English.
Experience using Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Professional outlook, empathetic telephone manner and adherence to patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Assess and operate on NHS patients referred to OneHealth via the NHS e Referral System.
Hold appointments across outreach clinic sites in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
Perform operations within independent sector hospitals, requiring travel as needed.
Subject to onboarding process and Clinical Governance approval, and obtain practicing privileges for each hospital where procedures are undertaken.
Prepare for potential closure of the vacancy on receipt of a high number of candidate applications.
