Job Description

The Fetal Medicine Unit was newly developed and equipped in 2010 and provides a full range of FM diagnostic and screening services. The unit has well established links to allied regional services including the WM tertiary referral FMU, Regional Clinical Genetics and Fetal/Paediatric cardiology services and Birmingham Children's hospital. Antenatal care is based on a specialist multidisciplinary clinic model with clinics being staffed by dual consultants. Consultants also work with specialist midwives and community midwifery leads in teams where this promotes better access to and contact with hard-to-reach groups to ensure equal access to high quality obstetric care.
