Job Description
Job Title: Construction Site Manager
Location: Aldermaston (Minimum 3-4 days on-site per week)

Job Type: Contract
Hours: 9-day fortnight (Mon-Fri alternating weeks)
Working Pattern: Week 1: Mon-Thurs (8.25 hrs), Fri (8 hrs); Week 2: Mon-Thurs (8.25 hrs), Fri off

Need-to-Know

Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is essential. You must be a sole British national (UK EYES ONLY), have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the past 5 years, be eligible to work without sponsorship, and hold or be eligible to obtain DV clearance.

You'll be at the forefront of some of the UK's most complex and tightly regulated infrastructure projects - perfect for professionals who thrive in high-hazard sectors like nuclear or similarly demanding environments.

How You'll Contribute

As a Construction Site Manager, you'll take charge of on-site activities, lead subcontractors, and ensure every task is delivered safely, on time, and to exacting quality standards.

Working closely with package and logistics managers, you'll be pivotal in driving the success of these critical, high-impact projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety legislation and project protocols, championing risk management and quality assurance.
Project Control & Reporting: Monitor milestones, manage costs, and deliver clear, concise progress reports through daily logs and monthly updates.
Communication & Documentation: Liaise effectively with stakeholders and subcontractors, overseeing document control to keep all construction records precise and accessible.

The Essentials You'll Need

Qualifications & Certification: HND or equivalent in engineering or construction management, membership of a recognised professional body, with A1 Assessor certification desirable.
Health & Safety Expertise: Trained in risk assessment and subcontractor safety management, with proven experience on nuclear or high hazard regulated sites.
Communication & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently or collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
