We are looking for a Commercial Marketing Manager (Retention) to be responsible for the creation and delivery of annual marketing plans to drive and protect revenue across multiple experience-based products with a focus on retention. This is a fast-paced, dynamic position responsible for all seasonal products, memberships, and experiences at our club.

This exciting role involves planning and executing renewal campaigns for both season ticket holders and members, as well as enhancing the year-round offerings for these loyal supporter bases to protect important revenue streams. You will collaborate with the Senior Commercial Marketing Manager and work closely alongside the Acquisition Marketing Manager to integrate plans. Within this position, you will also be entrusted with line management of a dedicated team member.

Your day-to-day
  • Produce and deliver integrated retention-focused marketing plans - create and execute the annual communication strategy for all paid members and season ticket holders, nurturing and retaining these audiences throughout the season (including renewal and acquisition campaigns), and oversee seasonal hospitality offerings to reduce churn and enhance supporter experiences.
  • Act as a key marketing contact - be the daily marketing contact for relevant stakeholders across seasonal products, ensuring stakeholder buy-in on marketing plans and tactics.
  • Champion our supporters - oversee all promotional and service communications to our retained supporter base, leading automation, innovation, and efficiency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders - partner with our Senior Commercial Marketing Manager, contribute to wider marketing strategies, and produce detailed, strategic annual marketing plans, ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Build relationships across the club - work with peers in Brand, Creative, Digital, and Insights teams; leverage owned platforms, brief creative assets, and set up dashboards and KPI reports to track performance.
  • Develop supporter segment knowledge - understand supporter segments to create targeted campaigns, sharing expertise and promoting segmentation across the club.
  • Cross-promote commercial experiences - collaborate with Content and Retail teams to maximize engagement and revenue, guiding supporters through the marketing funnel and club ecosystem.
  • Inspire and mentor a direct report - coach and manage a team member, set objectives, and support their development for success.
What we are looking for
  • Background in retention-based commercial marketing - experience in creating engaging communications and campaigns to increase loyalty and reduce churn, with a focus on automation.
  • Performance marketing experience - familiarity with channels like email, social, and paid media to drive revenue and engagement.
  • Stakeholder management skills - ability to work effectively with external agencies and internal creative teams.
  • Project management mindset - adept at managing multiple projects within scope, timelines, and budgets, with stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to build impactful relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Leadership qualities - passionate about coaching and inspiring team members.
