The primary focus of the Clinical Specialist role is to facilitate the use of Acumed products within the theatre environment.

Expertise in products and anatomy, a solid understanding of orthopedic principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities include providing support, consultation, and training to surgeons and theatre teams regarding Acumed products before, during, and after surgical procedures, offering guidance for clinical decision-making at each stage.

Our products are used in NHS and private hospitals on a consignment and loan basis. Ensuring the surgeon has the correct equipment for each patient is critically important.

  • Manage day-to-day hospital accounts in your assigned area, including inventory management tasks such as stock auditing, facilitating replenishments, booking loan kits, and ensuring implants and instruments are ready for use.
  • Act as the interface between Acumed and clinical settings to understand challenges faced by clinical teams and develop solutions.
  • Achieve all KPIs set by your line manager and/or directors, aligned with business and role demands.
  • Participate in case coverage, advising on the application of the Acumed portfolio.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology.
  • Serve as the interface between customers and the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Provide clinical guidance to both new and existing customers.
  • Train theatre staff.
  • Understand and adhere to hospital and theatre policies.
  • Attend regional symposiums and represent the Acumed brand.
  • Manage inventory and conduct audits.
  • Keep CRM records up to date.
  • Support business needs with flexible working hours.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Maintain all Acumed equipment, including laptops, mobile phones, and audit tools.
  • Complete administrative duties promptly.
