Job overviewSeeking a ST1-5 level doctor to join the Infectious Diseases and Microbiology research team in Bristol as a Clinical Research Fellow, contributing to high-profile commercial and academic infection studies within a growing nationally recognised research programme.
Main duties of the job- Deliver commercial and academic clinical trials, supporting participant recruitment, study reviews, and research governance activities.
- Contribute to service development, gain experience in trial delivery.
- For candidates with appropriate experience, develop an independent project alongside ongoing studies.
- Work across Southmead Hospital and Bristol Royal Infirmary sites, provide cross-cover during leave and support flexibility for research development opportunities and clinical experience.
- Completion of MBChB.
- Full registration with the GMC.
- MRCP.
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience, of which 2 years working in UK NHS hospitals.
- An interest in pursuing further research in infectious diseases, microbiology or immunology.
- Evidence of recent CME / reasonable training progression at this stage of career.
- Experience in audit projects, with written reports.
- Teaching experience.
- GCP training.
- Research experience.
- Evidence of relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Information technology skills.
- Good written communication skills and evidence of the ability to communicate.
