Salary: £26,205 - £26,525 (pro rate for part time and sessional)

Hours: 10 per week, 40 weeks sessional

Working pattern: Monday to Friday 16:30 - 18:30

Responsibilities

• Empty litter and recycling bins
• Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within a group of buildings
• Clean all sanitary areas, toilets and showers and replenish washroom consumables
• Emergency and re active cleaning as required (e.g. removal of graffiti, body fluid spillages, accidental spillages)
• Care for and keep all equipment used in carrying out the above duties clean
• Other tasks as reasonably required, including supporting cleaning tasks across other buildings where needed
• Deliver cleaning specification requirements and cooperate with performance measurement to meet overall agreed standards
• Keyholder duties: operate security alarm systems when opening a building, close accessible windows and doors, switch off lights and ensure premises are left safe and secure when closing

Qualifications & Conditions

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required. Applicant must provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to satisfactory outcome of these checks.
