Salary: MPS 2 - MPS 6

Hours of work: Full time

Contract type: Fixed term contract to 31st August 2027 (with the possibility of extending)

We would like to recruit a positive, enthusiastic and experienced teacher with the knowledge and skills to teach a very small mixed age Reception / Year.

All about the role

This is an exciting opportunity to teach a mixed-age class, combining the wonder and curiosity of the Early Years Foundation Stage with the growing independence of Key Stage 1.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of both Reception (EYFS) and KS1 pupils.
  • Create a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment where every child thrives.
  • Plan creatively across the EYFS and National Curriculum frameworks.
  • Use effective assessment strategies to support progress and attainment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
We are looking for someone who
  • Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in EYFS and Key Stage 1.
  • Has a strong understanding of early child development and phonics.
  • Is reflective, organised and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Brings energy, warmth and a genuine love of working with young children.
  • Values teamwork and contributes positively to school life.
  • Possesses interest and experience in outdoor learning and forest school.
