Claims Manager

Our client is looking to appoint a Claims Manager in this newly created role, where the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the claims teams across multiple sites and working with the Head of Claims to achieve corporate objectives.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Claims and be responsible for managing the firm's claims team and providing a comprehensive insurance service to existing and potential new customers, in accordance with FSA and internal requirements.
The role will involve:
- Managing the daily workflow of the claims division and ensuring staff activity is optimized to deliver high levels of customer service.
- Handling cross-class claims, including Property, Liability, Construction, and Professional Indemnity.
- Managing claims for major clients from initial advice to final settlement.
- Attending client meetings as required and promoting our Claims Advocacy services.
- Providing mentoring and training to claims staff and conducting staff appraisals.
- Managing and collating data for the broking team and assisting with pre-renewal requirements.
- Visiting offices regularly to check in with claims teams.
- Assisting the Head of Claims in reviewing claim declinatures and challenging insurers when appropriate.
- Ensuring staff adhere to company procedures to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Liaising with the Head of Claims and HR to undertake personal CPD activities throughout the year.
- Managing clients on an individual basis, working within company procedures to ensure consistent service quality.
The successful applicant:
- Will have previous team leadership or management experience in a claims environment.
- Has a strong technical background in Property, Liability, and ideally Financial Lines Claims.
- Enjoys providing first-class client service.
- Experience handling Lloyd's claims and ECF would be advantageous.
- Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to build internal and external relationships.
