Job description

Location: Sheep Dip Lane Academy, Dunscroft, Doncaster, DN7 4AU.

Contract Type: Permanent, term time only.

Contracted Hours: 15 hours per week. Morning session 07:25 am - 08:40 am; Afternoon session 15:00 - 16:45.

Responsible to: Childcare Supervisor, Head of School and Business Manager.

Employment Start Date: 1st September 2026.

This role is open to candidates who can cover both AM and PM sessions; however, applications for either AM or PM only will be considered.

The Directors of Exceed Learning Partnership and Governors of Sheep Dip Lane Academy are looking to appoint a Childcare Assistant for our Wrap Around Care provision for pupils before and after school.

Key Responsibilities

• Support learning: Assist in the delivery of engaging, play based learning activities in line with the curriculum.
• Provide high standard physical, emotional, and social care to children, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and lunch breaks to ensure safety and positive behaviour.
• Lead small group activities such as reading, arts and crafts, or phonics games under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Observe and record children's progress and development milestones.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming classroom environment.
