Child Care Apprentice at Habonim Nursery

A well established nursery situated near Prestwich and Manchester, providing excellent childcare to children aged 0 to 5. We have an enthusiastic team and aim to give each child a great start filled with learning and growth.

About the vacancy

Immediate start to join our small and friendly team within a well established nursery in Prestwich. You will work alongside a professional and experienced team, learning a range of skills to develop a career in an Early Years setting, and receive high quality training in all aspects of child care.

You will be trained to a high standard in all duties required of you, involving keeping the children safe and enhancing their learning and play. This will include:

• Ensuring the safety of children at all times
• Supervising snacks and lunch
• Supporting development through play
• Carry out activities with the children
• Preparing and feeding children
• Keeping the nursery clean
• Attending mandatory training to help with the role and ongoing CPD
• Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
• Receiving support throughout your training

You will receive the following training:

• College attendance is required one day a month.

• Essential: English (GCSE - C/4 or above or equivalent)

Outcome

On successful completion of your apprenticeship you may be offered a permanent contract.

The starting salary is £14,976 a year for 36 hours Monday to Thursday, 7.30am - 4.00pm; Friday, 8.00am - 3.00pm.
The apprenticeship will run for 1 year 4 months.
