A well established nursery situated near Prestwich and Manchester, providing excellent childcare to children aged 0 to 5. We have an enthusiastic team and aim to give each child a great start filled with learning and growth.
About the vacancyImmediate start to join our small and friendly team within a well established nursery in Prestwich. You will work alongside a professional and experienced team, learning a range of skills to develop a career in an Early Years setting, and receive high quality training in all aspects of child care.
You will be trained to a high standard in all duties required of you, involving keeping the children safe and enhancing their learning and play. This will include:
- Ensuring the safety of children at all times
- Supervising snacks and lunch
- Supporting development through play
- Carry out activities with the children
- Preparing and feeding children
- Keeping the nursery clean
- Attending mandatory training to help with the role and ongoing CPD
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
- Receiving support throughout your training
You will receive the following training:
- College attendance is required one day a month.
- Customer care skills
- Analytical skills
- Logical skills
- Creative skills
- Initiative
- Non judgemental attitude
- Physical fitness
- Essential: English (GCSE - C/4 or above or equivalent)
- Essential: Maths (GCSE - C/4 or above or equivalent)
On successful completion of your apprenticeship you may be offered a permanent contract.
The starting salary is £14,976 a year for 36 hours Monday to Thursday, 7.30am - 4.00pm; Friday, 8.00am - 3.00pm.
The apprenticeship will run for 1 year 4 months.
