Chef Manager - School & Hospitality Agency Work

Berkeley-Scott is seeking a Chef Manager for temporary agency work in Loughton, starting September. Pay ranges from £18.00 to £24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This role involves managing daily kitchen operations across school and hospitality settings. You will lead kitchen teams, oversee food preparation, and ensure quality standards are met. Strong leadership and organisational skills are essential for coordinating shifts, maintaining hygiene regulations, and controlling stock.

The position offers flexibility, allowing you to work across various sites in and around Loughton.

Berkeley-Scott is recruiting experienced chef managers to join our agency team for exciting opportunities across schools and a variety of catering businesses in and around Loughton starting in September. Key responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety and allergen standards
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste
• Ensuring kitchens operate efficiently and meet client expectations

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a chef manager or in a similar kitchen management role
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential
