CFO

Cedar is partnered with a private equity-backed healthcare services business in Central London to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The role offers £150,000-180,000 base salary, plus bonus and equity.

The Company

This established PE-backed healthcare services business has undergone significant growth during the investment period, combining organic expansion with investment in its people, infrastructure and service offering.

The business has reached meaningful scale and is now entering the latter stages of the private equity hold, with a potential exit on the horizon. The focus is on maintaining strong performance, maximising value and ensuring the business is fully prepared for a transaction.

The Role

Working closely with the CEO, Board and private equity investor, the Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance function and play a central role in delivering the next stage of the value creation plan and preparing the business for exit.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading financial exit readiness and ensuring the business is prepared for buyer diligence.
• Developing and substantiating the financial equity story, historic performance and future growth opportunity.
• Owning budgeting, forecasting and the long-range plan, ensuring assumptions are robust and defensible.
• Driving further EBITDA, margin, cash and working capital improvement ahead of exit.
• Leading vendor due diligence, Quality of Earnings and the finance workstream through a transaction.
• Ensuring MI and KPI reporting clearly demonstrates underlying performance and the key drivers of value.
• Partnering with operational leadership around profitability, pricing, capacity, utilisation and commercial performance.
• Maintaining strong financial control, cash management and forecasting discipline.
• Leading and developing the finance team through a period of increased scrutiny and transaction activity.
• Managing relationships with the PE investor, Board, lenders and external advisers.

Your Profile

• Experienced CFO or Finance Director with a strong private equity background.
• Direct experience delivering a PE-backed exit or similarly complex transaction.
• Strong commercial finance, FP&A and financial modelling capability.
• Experience of vendor due diligence, Quality of Earnings and buyer diligence.
• Strong understanding of EBITDA, cash, working capital and enterprise value drivers.
• Experience within healthcare services, business services or another multi-site / operationally complex environment would be advantageous.
• Strong track record working directly with CEOs, Boards and private equity investors.

Compensation & Working Arrangements

The package for this CFO role is £150,000-180,000 base salary, plus bonus and meaningful equity participation.

The role is based in London, with hybrid working typically requiring 2-3 days per week in Central London.
