We are looking for a Catering Manager to join our Care Home in Wooden, Saundersfoot.

Helping to ensure our residents enjoy a nutritious, varied, and enjoyable dining experience.

We are a well-established Care Home group with 6 Care Homes and have been operating in Pembrokeshire for over 30 years.

Due to the nature of the work, this post is deemed to require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

This will be paid for by the Company.

Purpose of the position: To prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment.

To control systems of food allocation to minimise wastage.

To operate and supervise other staff in order that all purchases are controlled within a specified budget.

Responsibilities

• To prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet within a controlled hygienic environment.
• To control systems of food allocation to minimise wastage.
• To operate and supervise other staff in order that all purchases are controlled within a specified budget.
• Manage and control stock levels and purchasing of food supplies, ensuring materials are ordered in correct quantities.
• Keep the purchase of materials within the allocated catering budget.
• Plan and prepare balanced, varied, and nutritious menus, considering residents' needs and dietary preferences.
• Oversee kitchen staff training to ensure compliance with current food safety and hygiene legislation.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen as per I.A.W. Environmental Health guidelines.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required by management.
