GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Catering Assistant to join a busy Middlesbroug school. This is your chance to contribute to a positive dining experience, support a well run kitchen, and play a key role in keeping students nourished and ready to learn.

What You'll Do as a Catering Assistant

• Assist with the preparation, presentation, and serving of food.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Support cooks and catering supervisors with daily tasks and service routines.
• Ensure food hygiene, safety procedures, and allergen controls are always followed.
• Provide friendly customer service to students and staff during meal periods.
• Help set up and clear down equipment, utensils, and dining spaces.

What We're Looking for in a Catering Assistant

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or a similar role (desirable but not essential).
• A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Understanding of basic food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
