Category Manager - Ops Excellence, Amazon Now Quick Commerce 10 minute delivery

The Category Manager will work on key initiatives, projects, and opportunities across the Programs owned by the Operations Risk Compliance vertical. The role involves managing the entire project lifecycle-from problem definition, scoping, designing solutions, testing/piloting, to rollout and sustaining change. Collaboration with multiple stakeholders such as operations, capacity planning, categories, learning & development, and external teams like tech partners is essential. This position operates in a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify areas for improvement by working closely with operations and program teams.
  2. Scope problems to define root causes, quantify them, identify key levers, and prioritize based on severity.
  3. Design solutions considering pros/cons, short-term and long-term impacts, upcoming external changes, and define expected results with input/output/control metrics.
  4. Test and pilot solutions to assess effectiveness, iterate as necessary.
  5. Roll out solutions across programs, track compliance, define ramp plans, ensure training materials, and coordinate onboarding and training.
  6. Design strategies to ensure sustainability of improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, operate systems efficiently, handle stressful situations, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Passion for Business Development, strong interpersonal and listening skills, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines.
  • Critical qualities include pace of implementation, initiative, willingness to travel, commitment, teamwork, creativity, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Operational experience involving vendor interactions, escalation management, stakeholder communication, and participation in client calls.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with Excel.
  • 5+ years in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and results delivery.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional/military experience.
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing large data sets to drive performance and process improvements.
  • Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, promotions, inventory management, and product development.
