Job Description
About the Role

This is a flexible worker role covering various shifts on our London Business School Contract. Typically shifts available are Monday - Friday to cover sickness and absence. Shift times will vary.

The role is a Casual Concierge Security Officer delivering high-quality security and customer service. The role combines safety, operational awareness, and excellent customer service to support a secure and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Security & Operations
    • Deliver security services in line with Assignment Instructions and client requirements
    • Conduct patrols (internal/external) and monitor site activity
    • Report incidents, risks, suspicious activity, and hazards accurately
    • Perform locking/unlocking duties and manage keys in line with procedures
    • Monitor contractor safety and site compliance
    • Operate security systems and equipment (radios, pagers, tracking systems)
    • Carry out equipment checks and report faults or defects
    • Supervise deliveries and goods access points
    • Provide traffic control and enforce site parking restrictions where required
  • Customer Service & Front of House
    • Provide a professional and welcoming front of house presence
    • Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and contractors
    • Issue visitor and contractor passes in line with procedures
    • Manage reception activities including sign in and visitor coordination
    • Handle lost property, deliveries, and parcel management
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable environment
    • Liaise with Facilities Management regarding site activities
  • Administration & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate logs and reports of incidents and daily activity
    • Escalate operational issues in a timely and professional manner
    • Record and report faults, hazards, and health & safety concerns
    • Support business operations through effective communication and coordination
Skills & Experience
  • Essential
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
    • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively under pressure
    • Basic IT skills for reporting and systems use
    • Reliable, punctual, and well presented
    • Strong teamwork and conflict resolution skills
  • Qualifications
    • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
    • Experience in customer service / concierge role (preferred)
    • Experience in security (preferred)
