The Role
A secondary school and sixth form setting in Walsall is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
The role involves teaching Edexcel Business across KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' understanding of key business concepts including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and strategic decision-making. You will support learners in applying theory to real-world contexts while preparing them for GCSE and post-16 assessments.
Working with examination classes, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing meaningful feedback, and maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour. You will contribute to a positive learning environment that encourages ambition, independence, and academic success.

The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
  • Have experience teaching Business Studies at KS4 and/or KS5
  • Be confident delivering the Edexcel Business curriculum
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have the ability to engage and inspire learners preparing for further study and future careers
