About the company

Hey, I'm Alex - a bookkeeper and creative entrepreneur working with artists, designers, and makers. I run a boutique finance practice helping creatives stay on top of their money while they focus on the creative work and businesses.

Now, I'm looking for a sharp, curious intern who wants real experience - not just spreadsheet shadowing. You'll be supporting actual client work, learning tools like Jortt, Exact, and Moneybird, and getting mentored directly by me.

What You'll Do

Finance & Reconciliation

• Book transactions across Jortt, Moneybird, and other tools
• Reconcile bank statements
• Help prep monthly reports and client summaries

Invoices & Payments

• Process invoices and expenses
• Track overdue payments and follow up (nicely)
• Learn how to communicate professionally with creative clients

Financial Analysis & Support

• Review client reports and highlight trends
• Assist in simple forecasting and budgeting

Compliance & Organization

• Help with VAT filing and year-end prep
• Organize financial docs and keep systems clean
• Maintain and help improve internal SOPs

Admin & Automation

• Keep task lists fresh and clear
• Document systems or find ways to automate
• Support client onboarding

Who You Are

• Student or recent grad in Business, Finance, or Accounting
• You're organized, reliable, and eager to learn
• You love systems and aren't afraid of numbers
• Bonus: you vibe with creative people and want to work with founders, artists, or small business owners.
• Extra bonus: you know AI tools.
