Role Overview:

TellCo Europe seeks an ambitious and motivated Business Development Intern with a keen interest in the defense and security sector. Located ideally in Brussels, you will assist in identifying opportunities, engaging key stakeholders, and developing strategic relationships across EU defense institutions, NATO, and the broader defense community.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research on the European defense industry, mapping key players, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
• Assist in preparing tailored pitches and presentations for defense-sector clients and institutions.
• Support stakeholder engagement by organizing meetings, events, and webinars with key defense entities such as NATO, the European Defense Agency (EDA), and ASD Europe.
• Identify relevant funding streams and support applications to EU defense-related programs, including Horizon Europe, European Defence Fund, and partnerships with institutions like the European Investment Bank.
• Maintain and manage a CRM database, tracking interactions and following up with prospects and clients.
• Represent TellCo Europe professionally at industry events, summits, and networking opportunities around the Brussels region.
• Contribute to internal reports, providing insights and recommendations for market penetration strategies.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program in International Relations, Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Defense Studies, or related fields.
• Strong interest or prior coursework in defense/security, renewable energy, and EU institutional structures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages such as French, Spanish, or German highly desirable).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfortable using CRM systems.
• Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with confidence to engage and network with senior-level professionals.
