Bar Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of a match day bar at Lord's.
• Ensure the bar is clean, well organised, and ready for service before, during, and after events.
• Manage stock, including counts, requisitions, rotation, wastage control, and reconciliation processes.
• Lead and inspire bar teams, fostering teamwork and a positive, motivated workplace culture.
• Provide personal and effective service befitting a world class venue.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with event operations, logistics, and senior management teams.

Contract Details

Zero hour contract role. Availability required during major matches and international fixtures at Lord's.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Bar Manager or similar role.
• Confident personality to engage with staff, members, and guests.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
• Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
• Interest and knowledge of beverages, including wine, spirits, and beer.
• Understanding of beverage dispense equipment and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Complete understanding of licensing laws and health and safety regulations.
