Sandhills Day Nursery Alvechurch is located in a grand converted house with breath taking views of rolling fields, offering a truly unique environment for any child's early years. Across our seven main playrooms, each designed to foster a child's curiosity and development, the nursery is a busy but passionate environment to work in. Conveniently situated within 30 minutes of Birmingham city centre, just 2 minutes from junction 2 off the M42 in the beautiful village of Alvechurch, there is ample area for staff to park.

Job Details

Position: Bank Nursery Practitioner (Zero Hours - Flexible Contract)

Pay: £12.71 - £13.24 per hour depending on experience plus accrued holiday pay

Working Hours: Zero hour contract - flexibility to work different shifts each week between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday.

Location: 49 Swan Street, Alvechurch, Birmingham, West Midlands, B48 7RR

About the Role

Experience working in a childcare setting is required for this role. A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

What Your Role Involves

• Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children's development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.
• Support the day to day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
