Bank Maintenance

Limewood Care Home is a purpose built service in Stafford, providing specialist dementia, nursing and respite care for 59 residents.

The home offers a structured and supportive environment for individuals with complex health needs, combining clinical expertise with a strong focus on dignity, wellbeing and person centred care.

Bank Maintenance Contract £12.71 per hour Flexible zero hour contract Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided

5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs by ensuring the environment remains safe, well maintained and comfortable at all times.

You will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, including repairs, basic electrical checks, installations and general upkeep.

You will ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently, responding promptly to issues and supporting planned maintenance.

Working independently and alongside the wider team, you will follow health and safety procedures, support compliance checks and be mindful of working within an occupied care environment, ensuring tasks are completed safely and with minimal disruption.

Your role will contribute to maintaining a well organised, safe and welcoming environment at all times.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role
• Basic knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Understanding of health and safety procedures and safe systems of work
• A proactive, practical and problem solving approach
• Reliable, organised and able to work within a care environment
