Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 3x Bank Cook based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Hours:

As and when required between the hours of Monday to Sunday hours per week.

What you will do:

You will be based in the Catering Department at University Hospital Crosshouse providing in excess of 1800 patient prepared and cooked meals every day, including therapeutic diets to patients, as well as meal services for staff and visitors. In addition we cater and provide hospitality for meetings and functions. Your duties include the preparation, cooking and service of meals including any preparation of therapeutic diets when required. Maintaining a high standard of hygiene, recording and monitoring of data required by our food safety assurance system-HACCP A degree of flexibility is essential, applicants who wish to be considered, must be available to cover shifts within the department between the hours of 0630 and 1830 including weekends. All preferred candidates must attend a Corporate Induction program before commencement of employment, and thereafter ongoing program of Mandatory & Statutory training.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post:

Experience in a large-scale catering environment City and Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or an S/NVQ qualification, an elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.
