About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Band 6 Nuclear Medicine Radiographer to join a dedicated imaging team in Carshalton on an ongoing locum basis. This full-time opportunity offers competitive hourly pay and the chance to further develop your expertise within a supportive clinical environment.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality nuclear medicine imaging services to both adult and paediatric patients. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate diagnostics and safe, effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Practice

  • Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging for adult and paediatric patients

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals in line with departmental protocols

  • Undertake cannulation confidently and safely

  • Ensure patient safety, comfort and dignity at all times

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with radiologists, clinicians and wider multidisciplinary teams

  • Contribute to discussions regarding imaging findings and patient management

  • Provide clear information and reassurance to patients and families

Governance & Compliance

  • Adhere to radiation protection regulations and health and safety standards

  • Maintain accurate records and imaging documentation in line with departmental policies

  • Support quality assurance and continuous service improvement initiatives

Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Radiographer

  • Post-registration experience within Nuclear Medicine

  • Competency in cannulation

  • Knowledge of radiation safety and regulatory requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Full UK driving licence
