Associate Director

HSBC is seeking an Associate Director to support our Large Corporate Coverage team, responsible for delivering sustainable growth and becoming the strategic banking partner of choice for our high turnover clients.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and contribute to client meetings and external events, strengthening mutually beneficial relationships.
• Conduct credit reviews, support the relationship team with credit analysis, and structure facilities, focusing on minimising credit risk.
• Collaborate with product partners (Global Payment Solutions, Global Trade Solutions, Global Markets) to meet existing customer needs and identify new prospects.
• Arrange financial presentations, including management information, client research, credit analysis and pricing approvals to create additional growth opportunities.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of industry developments and economic conditions, using market intelligence to support robust client conversations.
• Prepare documentation for presentation at relevant bank committees.

Qualifications

• Commercial or Corporate Banking experience (essential).
• Client facing experience and ability to build and manage complex relationships (advantageous).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial information (essential).
• Experience in monitoring credit risk, including concern lists, credit control reports, and management information analysis (advantageous).
• Adaptability to a fast changing environment, inquisitive mindset, and problem solving skills.
• Positive approach to networking, building new relationships, and collaborating across teams to promote growth.

Location and Working Arrangements

The role is based in Leeds or Manchester with a hybrid model. Successful candidates will regularly visit clients across the north and must live within commutable distance.
