Assistant Manager - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Aylestone, Leicester. This position is permanent full time with a variety of shifts over 5 days each week, normally including at least one weekend shift.

Full time employees are expected to be available to work across the week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide great customer service.
• Develop the team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Act as shop manager in their absence, ensuring customers are looked after and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, tidy shop.
• Motivate and guide the team to control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.

Qualifications

• Trustworthy and reliable - an essential part of a small team that customers and colleagues depend on.
• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Will complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if successful.
