What we can offer you: We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Learning and Development Manager to join our team.The Assistant Learning & Development Manager is responsible for the smooth running of the training team.They will ensure that the team is utilised efficiently, their skills and knowledge are up to date to ensure they are occupationally competent to meet the requirements of the business and which are in line with the requirements set out in / by the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 (Part 3) (as amended), Skills for Care, inspectorates and awarding bodies.They will be responsible for the quality and standard of training and the health and safety of the facilities and equipment that are used to deliver training.They will be responsible for liaising with the services and the training coordinators to ensure that face to face training is arranged to maintain a compliance level of 85% or above. Where you'll be working: This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week. The role is remote working with a requirement for travel and overnight stays as and when required. What you'll be doing: Line management responsibility for the trainers nationwide. Ensure that the trainers have the correct training equipment to be able to deliver a safe and professional service Conduct regular 1:1 performance reviews with allocated Trainers to ensure ongoing development, wellbeing and effectiveness. Ensure that the trainers are occupationally competent and have the relevant up to date training and qualifications to be able to safely and professionally deliver the training. Engage with Services to meet relevant Training needs and resolve concerns. Ensure that new trainers are recruited, inducted, supervised, observed and signed off as competent to deliver their designated courses. This will be done in liaison with the Senior Trainer/Quality Leads. What you'll have: Minimum of 2 years experience in managing a team Experience of the health and care sector is preferable. Experience of working in a fast paced environment Excellent planning and organisational skills Team player with excellent verbal & written communication skills Independent, self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision A high level of interpersonal skills and ability to hold difficult conversations effectively.
