Assistant Chef - Wilmington Manor Care Home, Common Lane, Wilmington, Dartford DA2 7BA.

Contract: Permanent.

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Salary: £13.89 - £15.40 per hour (depending on experience).

CQC rating: Good.

Responsibilities

• Use passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritious menus in line with residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Propose ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience, helping residents to feel at home.
• Train and manage kitchen team in food preparation, cooking and serving.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, and manage orders and deliveries.
• Provide catering for special events or seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties and birthdays (as required).

Qualifications

• Passion for cooking with previous experience in a fresh food kitchen and relevant hygiene certificates.
• Desire to create and deliver an excellent dining experience and make residents feel at home.
• Open to new ideas, an innovative approach to cooking while adhering to high standards.
• Strong communication skills and appreciation of the residents' moments, sharing love of food with them.
