Job Description

Analytical Laboratory Technician - Chemical production, German contract opportunity to join our Stein based client in the Agricultural and Chemical sector.

Your tasks:

  • You will be proficient in and use several specific pieces of equipment according to the laboratory organization.
  • You will assume responsibility for the proper functioning and maintenance of this equipment. You will perform work efficiently and use the equipment as intended.
  • You will conduct specialized and complex analyses under supervision, in accordance with the specified objectives.
  • You will interpret test results and propose conclusions and/or other tests to be performed.
  • You will be familiar with and manage analytical methods for existing processes.
  • You will support the development and optimization of laboratory procedures under supervision.
  • You will support the development of new analytical methods by managing simple development projects.
  • You will ensure that you are aware of the health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) risks and comply with the HSEQ rules associated with the activity.
  • You will ensure that all experimental results, laboratory journals, and structured test reports are always well-written and up-to-date.
  • You will identify changes and improvements to laboratory procedures. You will prepare these new procedures and implement them for the tests to be conducted.
  • You will be actively involved in an optimization group (HSEQ, standards) at the department level.
  • You will ensure that the workplace (chamber, laboratory benches, office) is clean and safely organized.

Your experience/knowledge:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in chemical production, either in a technical support or production operations role (technical support includes process development or QC roles).
  • Qualification as a chemical laboratory technician or similar, preferably in the field of galenics, eg Labroant Fachrichtung Galenik mit EFZ.
  • German preferably level B2.
  • Able to use complex equipment, techniques, and/or methods to perform a specialized function
  • Demonstrate comprehensive skills through job-related training and/or proven experience in the field.
  • Knows and understands the work of the team.
  • Uses complex equipment, techniques, and/or methods to provide a service or perform a specialized function.
  • Usually performs routine work independently and under moderate supervision.
  • Identifies and analyzes all types of problems and relevant questions in simple to complex situations, proposing less obvious solutions despite sometimes diverging data and prioritizing them according to applied procedures.
  • Explains, advises, and offers informal support to less-trained colleagues.
