Job DescriptionCubeMatch is seeking an experienced AI & Data Science Team Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI, agentic AI, and machine learning solutions that address complex business and customer challenges at scale. This role combines technical leadership, AI architecture ownership, and strategic delivery, with responsibility for guiding the adoption of modern AI platforms and tools to build secure, explainable, and production ready AI capabilities. The successful candidate will lead the design and governance of AI agents, co pilots, and intelligent decisioning systems, while establishing best practices, reusable frameworks, and responsible AI standards. Working closely with data, architecture, product, and business stakeholders, they will shape AI strategy from discovery through implementation, mentor a high performing team of data scientists and AI engineers, and help embed scalable, AI driven decision making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership on the design and implementation of agentic AI systems, including multi agent workflows, tools using agents, orchestration patterns, and human in the loop designs.
- Lead the development of enterprise co pilots and AI assistants using Microsoft Co pilot Studio, aligned to real business workflows and measurable outcomes.
- Define best practices for prompt engineering, memory strategies, tool calling, evaluation, and agent reliability.
- Own end to end AI solution architecture, from experimentation through to production, using AWS Bedrock, Sage Maker, and supporting AWS services.
- Partner with cloud, data, and security architects to design secure, scalable, and compliant AI platforms, including model lifecycle management and environment separation.
- Drive the development of reusable AI assets, agent templates, and reference architectures to accelerate delivery across teams.
- Lead the design and deployment of advanced machine learning and GenAI models, including forecasting, NLP, and decision optimisation, ensuring models are robust, explainable, and production ready.
- Guide the team on model evaluation, monitoring, drift detection, and continuous improvement within regulated environments.
- Ensure strong engineering practices across version control, CI/CD, testing, and deployment of AI systems.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and analysts to identify high value AI use cases, shape business cases, and run structured discovery engagements.
- Translate ambiguous business challenges into clear AI solution designs with defined success metrics.
- Communicate complex AI concepts clearly and persuasively to senior, non technical stakeholders.
- Attend the Community of Practice meetings and other training and learning settings for your professional development and career enhancement.
- 6+ years' experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI, with 1+ years leading technical teams or AI delivery.
- Strong experience designing and deploying end to end AI solutions in production environments.
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Co pilot Studio and building AI assistants or co pilots that integrate with enterprise systems.
- Experience working with AWS AI/ML services (i.e. Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock) or equivalent AI platforms for experimentation, evaluation, and deployment.
- Solid background in Python (and/or R) for data science and machine learning.
- Strong understanding of AI architecture, including model orchestration, APIs, cloud services, and integration patterns.
- Proven ability to communicate complex analytical and AI concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Experience working within regulated environments, with knowledge of GDPR and AI governance expectations.
- Experience designing or deploying agentic or multi agent AI systems.
- Banking or financial services experience.
- Expertise in areas such as NLP, GenAI, deep learning, or decision intelligence.
- Experience with MLOps / LLMOps practices and tooling.
- Cloud certifications (Azure or AWS) or deep practical cloud experience.
- Experience building and deploying GenAI applications at scale.
