Job Description

Location: Weybridge, Surrey, UK Full Time Permanent

As an Employee Relations Advisor at Saputo Dairy UK, you will provide expert guidance and support on employee relations matters across the business, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management cases, ensuring alignment with company policy, employment law, and best practice.
  • Provide ACAS conciliation and tribunal case support, liaising with conciliators and employment lawyers, preparing case summaries, evidence packs, and risk assessments, and advising on recommended approaches.
  • Support change matters, including TUPE, redundancy, and organisational change processes; advise on consultation planning, employee communications, selection processes, documentation, and risk management.
  • Deliver timely and professional advice to HR Business Partners and managers on ER issues; coach and support line managers to handle people matters.
  • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and internal governance.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements related to ER activity.
  • Promote a positive employee experience; support initiatives that enhance wellbeing and engagement, identify trends, and recommend proactive interventions.
  • Deliver training sessions on ER topics such as managing absence, handling grievances, and conducting investigations; develop ER resources and toolkits for managers.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership team, HR Business Partners, HRSC, Occupational Health, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships across the business.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in employee relations or HR advisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases with sensitivity and discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Desirable CIPD qualification or working towards it.
  • Experience in a unionised environment.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and case management tools.
