Adult's Social Worker - Rough Sleeper Team - 12 Month Contract

Our Client, Rochdale Council, is seeking an Adults Social Worker to join their Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Actively seeking out individuals rough sleeping, building rapport, and conducting welfare checks to encourage engagement with services.
• Carrying out comprehensive assessments to identify needs, risk levels, and immediate, short-term, and long-term support requirements.
• Securing emergency accommodation, providing support with rent arrears, and navigating the housing register to help individuals move off the streets.
• Facilitating access to mental health support, substance misuse treatment, and healthcare services to manage addictions or physical health issues.
• Acting as an advocate for vulnerable individuals, ensuring they receive necessary services, and conducting safeguarding assessments to protect them from harm.
• Working collaboratively with external agencies (police, health, charities) to provide a "team around the person" approach.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
• Must have minimum of 3 years experience post qualifying working as a Qualified social worker
