Job Description

Our Client, a Greater Manchester Council, is seeking an Adult's Assistant Team Manager to join their Mental Health Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Support the Team Manager in the day-to-day operational leadership of the Mental Health Team
  • Supervise, mentor, and support Social Workers and Social Care staff
  • Manage and oversee complex mental health and safeguarding cases
  • Ensure high-quality, strengths-based practice in line with the Care Act and Mental Health Act
  • Support effective care planning, reviews, and risk management
  • Chair case discussions, professionals' meetings, and best-interest decision-making
  • Quality-assure assessments, reports, and statutory documentation
  • Work closely with health partners within integrated mental health services
  • Support service performance, workload management, and practice improvement
  • Deputise for the Team Manager as required

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's post qualifying experience.
