Job Details
  • Salary: Grade 3 NJC £12.85 - £13.05 per hour
  • Contract Type: Permanent, term time only
  • Working Pattern: Monday 8.30 3.30, Tuesday 8 00, Wednesday 8 00, Thursday 8.00 4.00, Friday 8.30 3.30 (Full days include a hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Location: Birchwood Grove CP School, Burgess Hill
  • Interviews: Tuesday 21st July 2026

What You Need to Succeed
  • Provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for parents, visitors, and pupils
  • Manage telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries efficiently
  • Carry out a range of administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and record keeping
  • Support attendance monitoring and pupil records in line with school procedures
  • Assist with admissions, transitions, and general school communications
  • Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Prioritise tasks effectively while working under pressure in a busy environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding policies at all times
  • Administer First Aid and keep records inline with school policies.
