The role As an Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding relationships with key clients and prospects in the energy and utilities sector worldwide. This role requires a strategic, consultative sales approach, exceptional relationship management skills, and the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments. With your experience and network in the Netherlands you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, crafting tailored solutions, and closing high-value deals that align with customer needs and Siemens Grid Software's growth objectives. Key Responsibilities 
- Strategic Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the energy and utilities sector.
- Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client business challenges and aligning our solutions to meet their needs.
- Develop and execute account plans to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
- Coordinate with regional sales teams to ensure a unified and consistent approach to global accounts.
- Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts and target prospects.
- Leverage industry networks, market intelligence, and insights to uncover untapped potential.
- Develop tailored value propositions and lead consultative sales engagements.
- Sales Execution
- Lead end-to-end sales processes, from prospecting and qualification to proposal development and contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including pre-sales, product, and delivery, to ensure seamless execution and alignment with customer expectations.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Industry Expertise and Thought Leadership
- Stay informed about global energy and utilities market trends, emerging challenges, and regulatory changes.
- Represent Grid Software at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings as a subject matter expert.
- Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to influence solution development and positioning.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in account management and enterprise software sales management, with a focus on the energy and utilities sector.
- Proven extensive network in the Dutch Energy market both with DSO's and Energy companies
- Track record of meeting or exceeding multimillion-euro sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the energy and utilities industry, including its challenges, technology and key players such as DSO's.
- Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles and navigate multi-stakeholder decision-making processes.
- Experience working in a global sales environment
- Familiarity with software solutions for SCADA, software for distribution and industrial planning, electrical network analysis and management technologies.
