Accessibility (Lift Specialist) - 12 Months - Salisbury - SC ClearedContract Length: 12 MONTHSLocation: Salisbury, full-time onsiteIR35: INSIDE IR35Pay Rate to Candidate: £874 per dayA leading Defence Institution is seeking an Accessibility/Lifting Specialist, with proven experience managing lifting operations, including planning and supervising complex lifts.Minimum Requirement:

• Proven experience managing lifting operations, including planning and supervising complex lifts.
• In-depth knowledge of lifting legislation, regulations, and safety standards.
• Strong understanding of contract lift documentation and assurance processes.
• Familiarity with asset management practices, including CAFM systems.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to analyse and review technical documentation.
• Demonstrable experience in assurance activities (L1, 2 & 3)
• Complex/Heavy lifting experience

Desirable:

• Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., Lifting Equipment Engineers Association - LEEA).
• Training/qualification as Appointed Person (Lifting Operations).
• Previous experience in Defence or high-security environments.

Job spec:

• Provide a single competent authority accountable for lifting assurance
• Standardise lifting governance across sites
• Ensure alignment with Safe to Start and regulatory obligations
• Train and develop a designated taff member to AP competency level to enable long-term Internal resilience and continuity
• Provide professional advice and guidance for lifting.
• Develop, implement and maintain Lifting Policy, process and related forms and documentation.
• Prepare, review, and approve lifting plans and associated documentation.
• Supervise and oversee complex lifts on site when required.
• Review contract lift safety documentation and lift plans prior to execution.
