360 Operator

We are looking for an experienced 360 Operator to join our metal recycling facility. The operator will be responsible for safely operating a 360 material handler or excavator fitted with grabs, magnets, or shears to move, sort, and load scrap metal. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced recycling environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a 360 excavator/material handler to move, load, and sort ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Feed shredders, shears, balers, and other processing equipment with material.
• Load and unload lorries, containers, and storage bays with scrap metal.
• Use appropriate attachments (grabs, magnets, shears) safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily machine checks, routine maintenance, and report any faults or damages.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
• Work closely with yard staff, weighbridge operators, and supervisors to ensure smooth site operations.
• Comply with all site health & safety and environmental regulations, including handling hazardous materials safely.
• Support recycling targets by ensuring efficient material flow and minimising contamination.

Shifts available AM or PM: 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00

Pay rates fro AM shift £15.77 and PM £16.27
