Zest4Talent are working in partnership with a well-established, specialist environmental consultancy who are looking to appoint a Senior Acoustics Consultant to join their growing team based in Bedford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced acoustics professional looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to manage projects, work directly with clients, and support the development of junior team members.

The Role

As a Senior Acoustics Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality acoustics consultancy services across a diverse range of projects within the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out noise surveys, site measurements, and acoustic assessments
• Managing projects from initial concept through to completion
• Producing clear, accurate and high-quality technical reports and client advice
• Attending and leading client and design team meetings
• Managing client relationships and ensuring excellent service delivery
• Supporting and mentoring junior consultants within the team
• Contributing to business development and repeat client work
• Managing project finances, including quotations and invoicing

You will be working across a broad portfolio of projects including residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years' experience within acoustics consultancy
• Strong technical knowledge across environmental and/or building acoustics
• Experience managing projects and delivering work independently
• Membership (or working towards) the Institute of Acoustics (IOA)
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• A proactive, commercially aware approach
• Full UK driving licence

Location & Flexibility

• Hybrid working model based around Bedford
• Minimum 2 days per week in the office
• Open to candidates based further afield
• Monthly office attendance required if working remotely
• Site visits required depending on project needs
